The Neon Museum was pretty lit! 😉
Honest to goodness, this place made my little designer heart so happy! It’s jam packed with color, type + pattern inspiration. I left with my creative juices flowing. If you are a fan of design and/or history, it is 100% worth checking out next time you’re in Vegas. It’s just a quick hop + a skip away from Fremont Street, so if you’re already downtown you really have no excuse not to go!
We opted for the Boneyard Tour, it’s an hour long + during the day (save the night hours for the strip/downtown). We would highly recommend Matt as your guide. He was passionate about the signs, had a great sense of humor + answered questions thoroughly! The tour is full of interesting tidbits about the signs + Vegas itself.
Keep in mind the weather when booking your tour. The boneyard is open to the sun + well it’s Vegas… It’s hot! They offer umbrellas, which worked well for us being there in April, but I’d recommend booking a tour later in the day if you plan to go in the summer + bring water! If it’s too hot, they also offer tours at night where you can view the working signs lit up!
